Parramatta Eels

The Parramatta Eels are an NRL Club and foundation tenant at Bankwest Stadium with a long history of playing in Parramatta.

Officially founded in 1946, the Eels have brought plenty of success to the Parramatta region with five Minor Premierships and four Premierships in their time playing out of the Parramatta precinct.

The Eels hosted the first sporting event at Bankwest Stadium on Easter Monday 22 April, 2019 defeating the Wests Tigers 51-6 in front of 29,046 people.

Western Sydney Wanderers

The Western Sydney Wanderers are a foundation tenant at Bankwest Stadium with a strong history of playing in Parramatta and the Western Sydney region.

The Wanderers were established in 2012 and represent Western Sydney in the Hyundai A-league.

Wearing the traditional Red and Black hoop jersey, the Wanderers are known for their passionate fan base.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

Founded in 1934, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs were the most successful club of the 1980’s and amongst the toughest rugby league teams in the world. They’ve since won eight premierships and been a tenacious contender in the NRL. They’re known for their intensely dedicated fans representing the blue and white, often found sitting in ‘The Kennel’ at matches.

The Bulldogs will make their Bankwest Stadium debut against local Sydney rivals the Panthers on the 3rd of August.

Wests Tigers

The Wests Tigers are an NRL Club based in the Inner West and South Western Sydney.

They were one of the first sporting teams to agree to play games at Bankwest Stadium and will bring four home matches to the Stadium in its first year.

The Wests Tigers were one of the first teams to compete at Bankwest Stadium, featuring in the opening sporting event on Monday 22 April.

NSW Waratahs

The NSW Waratahs are the oldest provincial ruby body in the southern hemisphere who compete in the Super Rugby competition.

The Tahs secured their first Super Rugby Championship in 2014 and will play three games at Bankwest Stadium during its first year of operation.
